Google Earth allows viewers to see satellite images of the Earth’s surface. This amazing feature is a great learning tool in discovering new aspects of outer space and the structure of the Earth as a whole. Images of buildings, terrains, streets, countries and surfaces, are just some of the numerous places and things available to look-up on Google Earth. Depending on the size of a area requesting to be viewed, the image will either present itself in 2D or 3D. The larger the area the more likely an image will only be in 2D. Gradation and visibility of a picture also depends on points of interest and popularity. Most land areas are covered with around 15 meters of resolution or greater.
