I am not a blog fan in my everyday life, so creating a blog for this assignment was extremely challenging. I don’t read any blogs, thus it was difficult to even know where to start on creating my very own blog. I chose to set up my blog using WordPress because it is a hosted blogging platform. I knew that I was not going to be a blogger after this class, so I did not want to pay for my own unique domain name. I am a technical person and I thought I would have no problems using WordPress to create my blog. I have worked with content management systems in my career, so I thought WordPress would not be much different. Boy was I wrong. The WordPress interface is not very intuitive and the menu or dashboard is awful. It took me twenty minutes to figure out how to change my blog name. I created a poll, but I still can’t figure out how to display it on my blog.  I did however figure out how to submit my first post.

I plan on delivering the Sharpie Online Strategy Pack as Sharpies ultimate use of the social media available to the company to use and that consumers are using. Consumers including those of social media and those who are consuming their product. This 'Pack' will deliver them the best results for the lowest cost.

For the Insomnia Cookies Company, I chose to create a campaign proposal specifically for the East Lansing store.  Through understanding the customers, creating a new campaign to broaden customer base, and by sprucing up their social media efforts to increase interaction, this campaign aims to bump up their new media effectiveness.  Please enjoy the presentation  and don't get too hungry!
