Richard T. Cole, Ph.D. is Professor and Chair of the Department of Advertising, Public Relations and Retailing at MSU. The department offers Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctorate degree programs for more than 1000 students, and conducts several international programs in Advertising and Retailing.

Dr. Cole created the New Media Driver’s License (sm) Course with Derek Mehraban in 2008, and launched the course at MSU in January 2009.

Michigan State Advertising graduate Derek Mehraban is CEO of Ingenex Digital Marketing, a digital marketing firm located in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Mehraban is passionate about helping companies and individuals embrace digital technology to market their companies and themselves. He runs a Digital Marketing Blog and Podcast called The Digital Bus. Mike's current responsibilities include building out and leading Google's sales and account management team servicing Canadian advertisers out of Ann Arbor, MI offices. 

With Google since 2003, highlights of his Google career include establishing Google's regional office in Poland, building out Google offices in Ann Arbor, MI and leading East/Midwest Retail team.  He was also involved in Google's entry to Czech Republic, Hungary, Turkey, Greece and Egypt.
